The Hospital’s aims are to make its core properties as a whole more attractive both to visitors and shoppers, while retaining its essential character. Any proposals that the Hospital puts forward after the meetings of the Key Stakeholder Consultative Group would have to be acceptable to Greenwich Council and the community.
Any improvements to the Hospital’s properties in Greenwich Town Centre will need to:
Be architecturally, physically and financially viable- Be capable of standing the “test of time”
- Be mindful of Greenwich’s status as a World Heritage Site
- Be mindful of Greenwich’s status as a Maritime Heritage Site
- Complement Greenwich’s unique position as a tourist and retail destination.
- Promote retail diversity
