Greenwich Hospital is over 300 years old and it continues to provide charitable support in the spirit of the original Charter. However as society changes so too must the Hospital.

The overall investment strategy of Greenwich Hospital is to provide a secure base for future charitable activity and a high enough yearly income to meet existing needs and to ensure that capital growth keeps pace with or exceeds inflation.

Within this overall strategy the Hospital’s view is that the Greenwich Estate is a key part of its property portfolio and that it is in need of significant investment to protect both the income and value of the property. To achieve this, the Hospital has disposed of some of its residential properties in east Greenwich and recognises the need to establish a way in which to regenerate and improve the Hospital’s core properties in the town centre, in particular Greenwich Market.
